Biographie
A maker of barometers, Bodeur had been trained by his father and was the successor of Carcano. He made and sold all kinds of glass based instruments as barometers, thermometers, aerometers of Fahrenheit's design and instruments for the analysis of liquids such as milk, wine, vinegar, and beer (1). A barometer dated 1819, is preserved in the CNAM (2). At the 1839 exhibition he showed two hybrid thermometric instruments (3).
