Biographie
Successor to E. Lorieux (qv on sextant no 3208 and to E. Lorieux père on his letterhead. He is known by a range of navigational instruments, and in 1889 was investigating some special projects with L.J. Gruey, Director of Besançon Observatory such as the adapting of Gruey's gyroscope to a sextant, and the development of a nadiral telescope.1 In 1900 he was taken over by Ponthus & Therrode.
