Biographie

'Ingénieur-mécanicien du garde meuble'. At the 1819 Exhibition he showed a compass for drawing spirals or volutes which was described as 'parfaitement combiné, et forme un instrument nouveau'.1 He devised a new form of balance (2), and, described as 'Ingénieur du Roi, was probably the maker of a combination lock set. (3).
