sold a range of optical and physics apparatus and specialised in the importation of the best English optical goods (1). In 1780 Ciceri supplied eight thermometers and barometers to Louis XVI at a cost of 408 livres (2). It was perhaps as a consequence of this that he signed a combined barometer/thermometer as 'faiseur de baromètres pour la famille royale' (3). A pyrometer by him is in the CNAM. An elaborately mounted barometer by him was sold by Vincent Fraysse, Drouoit May/June 2022.
