In 1923, Amédée Jobin ceded the direction of his optical business to his son-in-law Gustave Yvon who ran it until 1961. In 1970, the company, which had absorbed SGO-HUET, was producing instruments in the domains of polarimetry, colorimetry, spectrometry, interferometry, metrolgy,high quality optics - prisms, objectives and the like. In 1997 it was purchased by the Japanese group, Horiba.
