Biographie

An optician agreed by the Société Linéenne de Paris. In his 'Instructions familières...' he describes six instruments barometer, thermometer, hygrometer, anemometer, hyetometer and the compass. In the almanac Azur for 1837 he is described as 'patentee for the making of cylindrical lenses' which are presumably those devised by Galland and described by Chamblant in 1818. A pluviometer by him is known (1).
