A maker of mathematical instruments who began his activity in about 1808. A repeating circle and graphometers are known (1).
Since 1846 Veuve Delamarre who, 12 July 1848, petitioned the government for a loan of 10,000 francs to enable her to continue her business which was begun some forty years earlier. despite the lack of business, she has kept all her employees working (the only business in this line so to do) but can no longer continue. Without help she willbe obliged to lay off twenty workmen. She should be able to reimburse the 10,000 francs within a year. She is heavily overstocked, but offers her ouse as a security. Is a suppliers to the Ponts & Chaussées and the Administration des Forêts.
