The son of Isidore Bianchetti (qv.) was a manufacturing and retail optician and maker and retailer of navigation instruments who with his brother Louis succeeded to his father's business. Under his successors, in 1917, the company obtained major naval contracts from the state, but was also an important supplier to the merchant marine. Lliners such as the Normandie, Ile de France and La Marseillaise were equipped with Bianchetti instruments. C. 1950 company promotional literature listed compasses, way measurers, depth sounders, and logs as among their more important products.
