Biographie
An optician, Lutz succeeded to the optical business of Berthaud (qv) in 1848 and was himself succeeded by his pupil Duplouich (qv) in 1896. Member of the Société Française de Physique (1878) several optical instruments, including a Fresnel burning lens, are known by him (1).
