Biographie
Successor to Loiseau (qv c. 1892). He advertised prismatic binoculars between 1891 and 1914 and other instruments are known (1). The business was still active in 1929 when the American instrument collector Harrold Gillingham had a meridian-compass sent by them to R. T. Gunther in Oxford (2). Since he was succeeded by Bouzendroffer (qv).before 1901 either Boucart started a new business or there were two opticians of this name.
