An optician who showed a barometer with two thermometers for comparison at the 1827 Toulouse exhibition (1). Petit asked Antoine d’Abbadie if it would be possible to obtain access for Bianchi to the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, when he goes to London on 6 October 1851. Petit wished to help Bianchi because the latter was always ready to assist the observatory in Toulouse (2). This Bianchi, from whom a vertical slate sun-dial is known (3), may be a relation of B. U. Bianchi.
