A clockmaker who supplied the Académie de l'Architecture with a 'pendule' for 800 livres in 1702 (1), and from whom a 'religieuse' and a floor standing clock are known (2).
He was the father of Jacques Nicolas, first of the notable dynasty of instrument-makers active throughout the century.
