Biographie
A barometer and thermometer-maker who presented instruments of his making to the Académie des Sciences in 1751 and 1752. With Cappi (qv) and Perricat in 1772 he protested to the Académie against harrassment by the corporation of Faienciers, at which time he was probably still in partnership with the Assier-Perricat with whom he jointly signed some instruments in 1771. By 1773 however Assier-Perricat was working alone.1 Bourbon died probably in early 1788, as a commissioner to handle his estate was named on 11 April of that year, Bourbon being then described as instrument-maker to the Académie des sciences.2
