Biographie
A clock-maker who as a Protestant was banished from the city in 1661, Paul Carré also produced instruments of which a simple theodolite incorporating a sun-dial and a quadrant dated 1652 and two graphometers, one fitted with additional telescopic sights enabling it to be used as a theodolite, are known.1
