Biographie

Free of the Founders' Company 23 July 1761 by patrimony and was therefore probably the son of Pierre-Louis Menant.1 He was a member of the Association of Instrument-makers of the Cloître Notre Dame (qv). With Gourdin in 1794 he was member of the commission established to inventory and estimate the value of instruments impounded by the state from the disbanded academies, émigrés and condemned nobles.
