An optician who was described by Antoine d'Abbadie as 'le meilleur opticien de Paris', in June 1862, but in September with the qualification that 'il me semble trop routinier et surtout trop peu instruit pour devenir un Steinheil français' (1). A table telescope by him is known (2), as is an astronomical telescope (3).
