A clockmaker, the brother of Jean De Bombourg, with a strong interest in astronomical horology. A chiming, weight driven astrolabe clock in a walnut case by him was offered for sale by his colleague Antoine Rousseau. De Bombourg also made instruments. An astrolabe, an astronomical ring, three sundials and twenty-three compasses are listed in his probate inventory (1). With his brother, he opposed the enrollment of the new statutes of 1658-59 for the Lyon corporation of clockmakers. He was married to Marguerite Arnaud and was the father of Pierre III de Bombourg. His estate was valued a 2904 livres.
