Son and successor of Claude Paris, he was declared bankrupt in July 1774. Tools and machines in his workshop were then valued at 18000 livres. Among his creditors, for 2390 livres, was Marianne Paris, widow of Jean Baptiste Nicolas Marie (qv).1
