Biographie
-
Rousselot made the whole range of mathematical instruments, graphometers, artillery instruments, drawing instruments and sun-dials signed by him being known. A graphometer is dated 1672 and small open quadrant, 1675 (1). What, if any, is his relationship with the Francesco Roussellot who signed a graphometer at Rome in 1649 remains to be established. This instrument also carries the, perhaps later, inscription 'J. B. Guerin'(2). A sciaterre by him is also known in a private collection and a solid protractor with extended scale arms is hebld in the Museo Galileo, Florence (3).
