Biographie
The maker in 1602 of an astrolabe, largely copied from Danfrie’s model, which is now in the Musée National de la Renaissance, Ecouen, Asne, who signed his instrument in Latin as ‘Micael Asineus’ was a goldsmith working in Chartres and probably the father of the well-known engraver, Michel Lasne (c. 1590-1667)1.
