- was a balance-maker whose invention of ‘romains-bascules munies de coussinets en forme de pointeaux’ was approved on 8 December 1908 by the Minister of Commerce and Industry for weighing up to 50 kilos. On the 6 August 1909 permission was given for them to be constructed to weigh all weights.1
