Biographie
Born in Burgundy, Dunod emigrated to Germany in 1672. From 1678 to 1695 he worked as a clock-maker in Munich. After a period with Michael Bergauer in Augsburg, he settled in Düsseldorf. He is known for his minute reading mechanical equinoctial dials based on those made by Bergauer (the earliest known is dated 1671), which established something of a fashion in early 18th century central and southern Germany.1
