A maker of physics apparatus especially that made in glass such as thermometers, aerometers hygrometers and chemical apparatus. He made a standard thermometer for the Dépôt de la Marine, a thermometer by him was used by J. P. Joule, and another, dated 1851, survives in the Château d'Abbadia, France (1).
