Biographie
-
A business composed of Ferdinand Drier and his wife. Primarily specialists in photographic apparatus, in 1858 they launched a 'stéréoscope polychromatique', a Brewster-type stereoscope fitted with blue and green shutters to give morning and evening effects to the scenes viewed (1). The business, which had a London outlet at 16, Walbrook, was declared bankrupt in 1872 (2). In 1868 they published a revised version of J. Sibut's cosmographic planisphere (3) and a surveyor's compass is also known (4).
