Biographie

A land-surveyor at Autun from whom a surveying-square, perhaps his own instrument, has survived dated 1668 (1). A survey of the forest of Fouchères by Vielard, 'arpenteur juré du Roi' is in the Archives Départementales of the Côte d'Or, and he held permissions to cut wood in the forest from 1645 to 1674.
