Biographie

Known by a Cuff-type compound microscope. In 1759 and 1763-75 he was established in the Louvre where he made physics and mathematical instruments used in the education of Louis XVI and his brothers(1). In 1800 he began making a new design of mount for the 22 ft telescope completed by Carochez (2).
