Jouvenet was apprenticed to P. A. Lasnier the 22 January 1742 and turned over to N . J. Baradelle 16 June 1746. He became free of the Founders' Company, Paris , 23 April 1765. Portable sun-dials and other mathematical instruments by him are known (1).
